Green.  It's the latest thing it seems.  Green products, green business practices.  Reusing and reclaiming and recycling.  Industrial waste.  Rhian Design follows green and sustainable practices in creating our pillows.  We purchase Italian upholstery leather remnants and fabrics and turn them into exquistite art pillows.  We have never purchased an entire hide, and we never will.

The Bengal Tiger portrait was our first vision.  The craftswomen at Rhian Design are looking at the world through new lenses now and we see even more pillows to make.  Our medium is leather, Italian leather, and the challenge is using this fascinating material to create "paintings" of the world around us. 

If you have a specific design or graphic you would like to see on your leather pillow, let us know.  We will evaluated your idea for its compatibility with our materials and its "sewability".  If you have a shade of leather you are trying to match, we will work with you or your designer.  All you have to do is provide us with a swatch or color chip.  Keep in mind that each hide can be a different shade and that computer monitors show colors differently.
